Whereas, on July 7, 2025, Ryan Louis Mosqueda attacked a U.S. Border Patrol facility located in McAllen, Texas;
Whereas Ryan Louis Mosqueda opened fire, injuring Border Patrol agents and McAllen police;
Whereas everyone should pray for the quick healing of the victims of Ryan Louis Mosqueda’s attack;
Whereas the Border Patrol agents and personnel are dedicated public servants who work tirelessly to secure our Nation’s borders and enforce immigration laws, often operating in dangerous and challenging environments;
Whereas such attacks undermine the rule of law, endanger the lives of Federal agents and local law enforcement, and disrupt critical operations essential to national security and public safety;
Whereas the safety and well-being of all Federal law enforcement officers, including those serving with the U.S. Border Patrol, are paramount and must be protected; and
Whereas the House of Representatives unequivocally supports the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and condemns all acts of violence against law enforcement personnel and Federal facilities: Now, therefore, be it
That the House of Representatives—
(1) - strongly condemns the violent attack on the U.S. Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, on July 7, 2025;
(2) - expresses its deepest sympathies to personnel injured in the attack, and wishes them a swift and full recovery;
(3) - reaffirms its unwavering support for the U.S. Border Patrol in their mission to protect the American people and secure our borders; and
(4) - stands in solidarity with the community of McAllen, Texas.
