1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the "Manned Aircraft Clarification Act".


2. Criminal penalties relating to manned aircraft

(a) Destruction of manned aircraft -

(1) In general - Section 32 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—

(A) - in the section heading, by inserting "manned" before "aircraft or";

(B) - in subsection (a)(1)—

(i) - by inserting "manned" before "aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction"; and

(ii) - by inserting "manned" before "civil"; and

(C) - in subsection (b), by inserting "manned" before "civil" each place it appears.

(2) Table of sections amendment - The table of sections for chapter 2 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking the item related to section 32 and inserting the following:

(b) Aircraft piracy - Section 46502(a)(1)(A) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking "an aircraft" and inserting "a manned aircraft".
